design fees: 

  • Light Refresh | $350–$500 — layout advice, working primarily with existing pieces, paint/color guidance, and a few décor recommendations.

  • Room Refresh | $500–$800 — existing-piece integration plus sourcing several new furniture/decor items, lighting, rugs, window treatments, artwork, etc.

  • Full Room Refresh | $800–$1,200+ — more extensive sourcing and selections, multiple vendors, shopping appointments, styling, and a more complete transformation.

 

Room Refresh design fees typically range from $350–$1,200+ per room, depending on the level of design and sourcing needed. Your personalized proposal will outline the scope and design fee before we begin. Additional shopping, sourcing, installation or styling beyond the original scope is billed hourly.

01. Discovery + Consultation

We begin by reviewing your existing space, discussing what’s working, what isn’t, and what you’d like to change. We’ll identify pieces you want to keep and establish the overall goals, style, and priorities for the refresh.

02. Design Concepts

Initial ideas are developed to establish the new direction for the room. Color palettes, inspiration, furniture layouts, and design boards help visualize how existing pieces and new additions can work together.

03. Design Development & Refinement

The design is refined to create a cohesive, functional space. Furniture, lighting, rugs, window treatments, artwork, and décor may be explored based on what the room needs and the agreed-upon scope.

04. Final Selections & Sourcing

New pieces and finishing touches are finalized and coordinated with what you already own. Product recommendations, shopping links, and sourcing information are provided to make purchasing simple.

05. Implementation & Installation

Once selections are ready, we bring the design together. This may include furniture placement, styling, accessorizing, artwork placement, and incorporating new pieces into the existing space.

06. Project Completion & Review

We’ll review the refreshed space, make any final styling adjustments, and ensure everything feels cohesive, functional, and complete.

How is a Room Refresh different from Full-Service Design?

Can you refresh more than one room?

A Room Refresh focuses on improving an existing space without major construction or renovation. If your project involves significant layout changes, cabinetry, construction, or extensive finish selections, one of my full-service design options may be a better fit.

Absolutely. We can focus on a single room or create a cohesive plan for several spaces throughout your home. If multiple rooms are involved, the scope and pricing can be tailored to the overall project.

How does purchasing work?

Most materials are purchased directly by the client using provided links and vendor recommendations. We can also assist with ordering and coordination using client-provided payment methods.
